Tournament date: Saturday, June 3rd at Vanier Elementary School, Ennis Avenue (off Torbay Road in the East End of St. John's - See map for details). All Primary and Elementary players (Grades K to 6) and Junior and Senior High School players are welcome.
Three Sections:

· Primary (Gr K - 3) · Elementary (Gr 4 - 6) · Junior & Senior High School |
Five regular round plus possible tiebreakers - scholastic rated. In the Primary and Elementary sections, trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. "Best Performance" certificates for each grade as well as prizes to be drawn by name for each section. There will be cash prizes for the top three performances in the Junior & Senior High School Section, based on number of participants. A canteen service will be provided with soft drinks, chips and hot dogs.
This is the last major tournament of the scholastic year in Newfoundland & Labrador.

All tournament participants must be supervised by a parent or designated guardian. Neither the Newfoundland and Labrador School Chess Association (NLSCA) nor Vanier Elementary School will be held responsible for the safety or behaviour of participants not actively engaged in tournament play.
