Resignation of John Outerbridge as NLSCA Chair

It is with great regret that the Newfoundland and Labrador School Chess Association (NLSCA) announces that John Outerbridge has decided to step down as the chair of the NLSCA Executive and to resign from the executive.

While John's decision is quite understandable, his contribution to the NLSCA will be greatly missed. John has helped put the NLSCA on a stable financial footing through the difficult times of reducing corporate and government sponsorships and has contributed much to the furtherance of school chess in this Province. John's initiatives have been instrumental involving and improving chess in a broader range of school chess players.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank John for all his past efforts on behalf of the NLSCA and wish him well in all his future endeavors.

Later this month, the NLSCA Executive will hold a meeting to determine any changes to its composition. Anyone interested in joining the NLSCA Executive is asked to contact the Association via email to NewfoundlandChess@yahoo.ca.
