In order to encourage participation in our chess tournaments, the NLSCA will again be giving away two (2) movie parties for 10 people. (see note 1) Players will have their names entered for the draw for one of these two prizes (see note 2) each time they do any of the following:

Attend their first chess tournament*. |

Win best performance at a tournament* |
|
|
Bring a new player to a tournament*. (See note 3) |
|
|
Attend at least four tournaments*. (See note 4) |
The prize winners will be announced immediately following the draw at the Vanier Open at the end of May, 2006.
* In the above "Tournament" refers to eligible Newfoundland and Labrador School Chess Association (NLSCA) tournaments only (i.e. those that appear on the Tournaments page of the NLSCA web site). (See also note 4) The last eligible event for this year's prizes will be the Vanier Open at the end of May 2006.
Notes:
(1) Each movie party will have a maximum value of $100.
(2) Only one prize per player.
(3) It must be the player's first tournament.
(4) The Provincial Final of the Canadian Chess Challenge WILL NOT be considered as an eligible tournament for the movie prize draw. The regional Canadian Chess Challenge events, however, WILL be considered as an eligible tournaments.
