Vanier Elementary School, Ennis Avenue, St. John’s (See map for location). The tournament will take place in the Art Room. |

12:30 PM to 1:00 PM (sharp). |

Eligibility: |
Open to girls in Grades K to 6. (who are not playing in the Speed Chess Tournament). |

Sections: |
Two sections if numbers are sufficient. Split to be decided on the day. |

Prizes/Awards: |
Trophies/Medals for top three places in each section. |
|
|
|
|
Format: |
5 rounds. 30 minutes per player per game. This is a CMA rated event. |

Tie Breaks |
Decided by tiebreak points (unless time allows for playoff games). |

Entry Fee: |
$10.00 per player |

Soft drinks/juice, chips, mini-chocolate bars, cookies |

Important Note to Parents: All tournament participants must be supervised by a parent or designated guardian. Neither the Newfoundland and Labrador School Chess Association (NLSCA) nor its volunteers, nor the staff at Vanier Elementary School will be held responsible for the safety or behaviour of participants not actively engaged in tournament play. The responsibility of the tournament organizers will be limited to ensuring fair competition in accordance with NLSCA tournament rules.
