Our association will be hosting a week long Chess Day Camp during the week of 14th – 18th August. Camp hours: 8:30 to 4:00. Early drop off/late pick up can be arranged. Venue: MUN campus. Local Chess instructors will be instructing students in the finer points of the game. Outdoor activities will be available when our numbers warrant and weather permitting. This will be our 13th year for our Chess Camp.
Last year’s camp was yet another great success. Over 25 campers attended the weeklong camp which involved a combination of chess instructions and other activity time. Our local chess experts and instructors taught the campers a variety of chess tactics and strategies. Judging by the comments, the campers were enthusiastic about the camp and most are prepared to return this year.
Details will be posted on our website at www.chess.nl.ca in the near future. If your child is interested, please send along this form below to help us gauge the number of campers possibly taking part. Early registration will guarantee a spot in the camp for your child.
