Date:

 Saturday, March 18th, 2006

Time:

 Registration 9 AM to 9:45 AM.

Any player who fails to register before the close of registration will miss the first round.

All of the main rounds are expected to be completed by around 4 PM. Players involved in play-off games may be required to stay after this time.

Fee:

 $10:00

Format:

 5 rounds Swiss pairing     

Time Controls:

 30 minutes per player per game.

Eligibility:

 This event is open only to those who have qualified through one of the Canadian Chess Challenge 2006 regional tournaments.

Awards:

 Medals will be awarded to the top three players in each grade.  In addition, the top player in each grade will be invited to represent the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador as a member of the provincial team in the National Final.
