NL Open 2009
Venue:

Medical Science Building - Lecture Theatre D, just right across from HS Room 2860, room used in previous years. Parking arrangement is the same as in previous years, in front of the Medical Science bldg entrance.
Dates:

September 4th (Friday), September 5th (Saturday) and September 6th (Sunday) 2009 (up to 5 rounds)
Format:

30//90, SD/60 or similar time control with increments.. CFC membership required
Game time:

Round 1 : Friday @ 6:30 pm, Round 2: Saturday @ 9:30 am, Round 3: Saturday @ 3:15 pm, Round 4: Sunday @ 9:30 am, Round 5: Sunday @ 3:15 pm
Entry fees

advance registration $40. Juniors $25. Seniors $35.

Prizes:

1st place = $200, 2nd place = $100, 3rd place = $75, Best Performance = $60, Top Junior = $40, Top unrated: Free CFC membership for one year (provided at least 2 new players) **** Over $400 in prizes. (Based on a minimal of 10 players) Prizes may increase slightly depending on number of entries. NB. This year, we welcome a special contribution of $100 towards our prize fund from Mike Watson - our past NL Junion champion and now a well known Canadian Poker player
Byes:

One 0.5 point requested bye available/allowed except the last round.
The champion will also entitle to keep our NL perpetual trophy for one year. If there is a tie, player(s) who agrees to play off (using regular time control) and wins will earn the right to have name on the trophy.
