Congratulations to Dustin Cole as our new NL chess champion
What a great ending to watch in the last game when Jim lost out in the end to a passed pawn. Jim had 5 pawns vs Dustin with 4 pawns with Jim had the edge the whole time until the last 2 minutes. Great respect to Jim for his excellent sportsmanship in the end game. Each only had less than 2 minutes on their clocks. Both played so well.
Congratulations also went to Steve Martin and Jordan Berson for tieing as runners up. Brian Oliver won the top under 1600 and Dennis Bradbury won the best performance.
Thanks to Grant Spraggett as well for giving us a chance this year.
