Our Sincere thanks to Nihad Devisevic, Grant Spragett, Edwin Tsui, Aman Hambleton, Ryne King and James Greey for their support to make the event successful. It was so wonderful to see a lot of our old chess friends dropping by to play a game or two. Our last hour climax shifted into 5th gear when we finished with our final attraction with "blitzing with our NL Champion - Grant Spragett". Our spectators and players grew as the event advanced from day 1 to day 3. Hopefully, we will do it again next year and with blitzing with our players right from the start.
The weather has been nice to
us. It was a little cool on the first evening. We scheduled our events
one hour earlier each day and it was in the 20's on our last day. Wind
was no issue to us when we taped up our boards on the second day.
